Rhuberry Spritz

The addition of strawberry rhubarb jam to this gin spritz adds great dimension without overpowering sweetness. Use the best quality jam you can find, home made preferred. Try substituting other jam flavors to suit the season and your taste.

For 1 spritz:

1 Tbsp jam

1oz Campari

1oz gin

2 oz good sparkling lemon soda preferably a good Italian brand that uses real lemon juice, I love A'Siciliana Limonata or Lurisia

Juice of half lemon

Sparkling water

Lemon twist 

Fill a highball glass or any 10-12oz glass with ice. In a separate glass muddle jam for 20- 30 secs. When making multiple cocktails I like to use a glass measuring cup that will hold the total amount of liquid, it makes batching easy and quick. Add Campari, gin, lemonade and lemon juice. Stir well. Pour into serving glass and top with sparkling water. Garnish with lemon twist.
